Malorie Blackman has carefully created a new world full of interesting and complex characters! This novel follows the story of Sephy (a cross)and Callum (a nought) and they're unorthodox relationship. The topics discussed throughout this novel are so universal that it is as if she is talking about today's society instead of a fictional one, this is a strong comment against the racial prejudice within the world today. In her world the noughts are white and are seen as worthless, whereas the crosses are black and seen as beautiful and God's gift, I love the way she has crafted this narrative as it gets the reader involved allowing them to put themselves in the character's situation (I was definitely involved and getting riled up...
