This was one of my dissertation texts and it fit in with the theme of power and gender so well! So, excuse the slight academic tone to the review, because I have studied this novel inside out. The Girl With All The Gifts - M.R. Carey Genre: Thriler Pages: 512 Format: Standard narrative with changing POVs Rating: 4/5 This book was a part of my WorldOfBooks haul that I did a while back and I have only just got around to reading and finishing it. I am so glad that I brought this, it was an incredible read through and through. SO they are now added to my reading list! **They are Life Eternal and Love Reborn** This novel follows the mystery surrounding the death of  Renée Winters's parents, the novel focuses on her journey to accepting their death and her adjustment to a new place. I love the incorporation of mythology and the inclusion of certain latin elements. I have to say that this novel does follow a similar style of a certain popular novel *cough* twilight  *cough*,  with the new girl at a new school mixed with a mysterious stranger (typically a hot guy) add in a few secrets and forbidden love and you're all set! Despite this I do like this, as it is an easy read with a good plot which is easy enough to follow and enjoy...
