Love Warm Tones? Love this!

Image
You have probably started to see this palette all over instagram now that NikkiTutorials has raved about the accompanying base. The palette in question is the Plouise Palette ! AKA a warm tone lover's dream!! *insert drool emoji* This palette consists of 12 shades all together, 10 matte and 2 shimmers, and they are all just as equally pigmented as the one before. The shimmers are quite subtle and do not have the foiled effect that I was expecting, like the Morphe ones or the MakeupGeek ones. I quite like the subtle nature of them as its a perfect accompaniment to the bold and bright mattes. The matte shades are STUNNING! They are all so pigmented and blend lovely. They do vary in texture, but that does not affect the pigment or blend; the darker and more red toned shades (queen, martini, contour) are quite hard and not as creamy as the lighter colours, like sunkissed, plouise, trippin and charm. I also ordered the base (I got the shade Rumour, there are now a n...

Double Wear, Double Points!!!

Image
Finally my (long awaited, or not depending on you) EsteĆ© Lauder Double Wear foundation! So like normal I'll show you what the claims of the foundation are and the my experience with it along with some photos! The foundation claims from their website ( http://www.esteelauder.co.uk/product/631/3894/product-catalog/makeup/double-wear/stay-in-place-makeup-spf-10#/shade/1C0-Shell ) This worry-free, long-wearing makeup stays fresh and looks natural through heat, humidity and nonstop activity. It feels lightweight and comfortable and won't change colour, smudge or come off on clothes. Now the flawless look you see in the morning is the look you keep all day.  ** straight from the page itself** Now here's for the real deal. I originally got this to compare it to the Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation  because they have very similar claims and finishes. In my opinion I preferred the Double Wear  over the All Nighter  mainly because I love the fac...

All Nighter Foundation - True or False?

Photo Credit:  http://www.behonestbeauty.com/2016/08/first-look-urban-decay-all-nighter.html Photo Credit:  https://www.temptalia.com/urban-decay-all-nighter-foundation-review-photos-swatches/ (Disclaimer: I am too poor to actually buy the foundation so I bagged myself a cheeky tester, LOL!) The counter person matched me with shade 6.0 originally (which I thought was a little too light but she did say that it does oxidise) and then I tried out 7.0 which matched my skin tone perfectly but I am yet to wear it out for a full day.  I have tried out shade 6.0 and it did oxidise to perfectly match my skin (so I probably wont try the 7.0).  Also a good thing to note is that because it is a matt foundation you have a very small window to work with the product, I would recommend working in small sections with a brush and then going over everything with a damp sponge (to smoothen). Here's a list of pro's and con's but these all depend on skin tone and type a...

Skincare Favourites

Image
I don't really have much of a skincare routine, just thought that I'd mention a few products that I really enjoy! Photo Cred:  http://www.nytrendymoms.com/2016/07/loreal-paris-pure-clay-mask-review.html L'oreal Clay Mask I found this mask by recommendation from a friend and I have to say I am so glad that I got this! Boots have a wide range of these but I chose the Detox Mask (the black one) and from the onset it made my skin lovely and soft. I love using this mask just before I apply my makeup as it creates a flawless and clean base. To apply I use the real techniques foundation brush (I didn't really have much use for it beforehand) and spread an even layer onto my skin, whilst the mask hardens/dries you can see the oil from the pores in your skin. Then simply just wash off. You can buy it  here Photo Cred: https://vickisbeauty.com/2017/04/08/fresh-glowing-skin-spring-new-loreal-pure-clay-face-washes/ L'oreal Pure Clay Glow Scrub Like the mask, ...
