MILK AND HONEY, SOMETHING YOU NEED TO READ.

Image
Milk and Honey - Rupi Kaur Genre: Poetry Pages: 208 Format: Poetry Collection in four parts Rating: 4.5/5 Rupi Kaur has been commonly named the ‘voice of this generation’ and I for one would agree with that, as a woman from an ethnic minority background, I am proud to see Rupi doing well within the literary world. This poet started her career on Instagram, hence her common title of ‘ Insta Poet ’, this new generation of poets allowed for a new element of creativity within the poetry world, through the use of unique forms and artwork; as well as an easier way to show expression and thought. Two themes that this collection explores very well. Before I get into the nitty gritty aspects of the review, here is a short summary courtesy of Waterstones.com: Canadian poet Rupi Kaur’s poetry started as a series on Instagram before Kaur self-published a collected volume, Milk and Honey, which quickly became a US bestseller. The book is divided into four ch...

On My hand (top to bottom): Le Freak 5, Hustle 4, Glitz, Frunk  These little gems are amazing! and that is all I have to say, that is it end of review. Only joking, I will give you the low down as per usual; starting from the claims and all the way to the pro's and con's! These bad boys are from a brand called CollectionCosmetics (not to sure if they are only a UK based brand, sorry to all my international readers) and they are their Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel Liner. I purchased these from Superdrug because I had heard some good things, and they did not disappoint especially for the amazing price of £2.99!! Right lets get to the website claims:  http://www.collectioncosmetics.co.uk/products/eyes/eyeliner/glam-crystals-dazzling-gel-liner - Fine glitter particles suspended in a clear, quick-drying gel. - Fine tip precision brush for easy application. - Adds instant glamour to any eye make-up look. 1. Holy Grail Mascara!

Image
I have been wanting to post this for so long but I just kept forgetting! No worries it is only a little beauty update and a way for me to share something that I am seriously loving at the moment. So if you have not already guessed by the title and the photos, this is my holy grail mascara! round of applause for… Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara (not to be confused by the Lash Sensational Luscious), and I will tell you that it is most definitely sensational! I first heard about this product from an amazing youtuber called Kaushal https://www.youtube.com/user/BeautyFulfilled and thought I would give it a try, now I know why she loved it so much! The left eye is with the mascara and the right is without. This baby retails at around £8.99, which I think is a great deal. This mascara gives me the same effect of Benefit’s They’re Real, the same even coverage, same thickness, same fanned out and fake but dramatic look. I will be honest and state that I am now at that point in ...

WHY L'Oreal Skincare is just AMAZING!

Image
If you are a follower of mine (especially on instagram) you already know that I am a huge fan of L'oreal's new skincare range!! After it being recommended to me by a close friend I thought that I would try it out, and now I am hooked! I used to be a fan of the T-Zone products (I still love them they are definitely tried and tested) Photo Credit:  http://www.nytrendymoms.com/2016/07/loreal-paris-pure-clay-mask-review.html I will talk briefly of the masks as I have already discussed them  here , I am currently using the Glow and the Brightening mask. I do feel like my skin has a newer glow/brightness to it as well as clearness however it is subtle. But I have definitely noticed a change in skin texture and feel, my skin feels smoother and my pores are smaller but still there. I am also using the charcoal face wash, which I love as well and it smells like fresh heaven. Now to the holy grail for all those with combination to oily skin!!! Drum roll pleaseeeeeeeee...

All Nighter Foundation - True or False?

Image
Photo Credit:  http://www.behonestbeauty.com/2016/08/first-look-urban-decay-all-nighter.html Photo Credit:  https://www.temptalia.com/urban-decay-all-nighter-foundation-review-photos-swatches/ (Disclaimer: I am too poor to actually buy the foundation so I bagged myself a cheeky tester, LOL!) The counter person matched me with shade 6.0 originally (which I thought was a little too light but she did say that it does oxidise) and then I tried out 7.0 which matched my skin tone perfectly but I am yet to wear it out for a full day.  I have tried out shade 6.0 and it did oxidise to perfectly match my skin (so I probably wont try the 7.0).  Also a good thing to note is that because it is a matt foundation you have a very small window to work with the product, I would recommend working in small sections with a brush and then going over everything with a damp sponge (to smoothen). Here's a list of pro's and con's but these all depend on skin tone and type a...
